South Arts is the regional arts organization serving the southeastern United States with a focus on increasing access to arts and culture, working in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, state arts agencies including the Kentucky Arts Council, and private funders. Our mission: advancing Southern vitality through the arts.
South Arts’ Vice President of Strategy Charles Phaneuf invites artists and representatives of arts and cultural organizations to join us at one of the Information and Listening Sessions above to learn about opportunities to fund your work, further your professional development, and connect with others across the region. As South Arts prepares to develop a new strategic plan, we also want to hear about the opportunities and challenges you face as artists and organizations, and what resources and tools you need. We also invite you to attend MDC's "State of the South" event for candid conversations on the past, present, and future of Appalachia; Charles will be moderating on a panel that explores Shaping Appalachian Narrative.
Thank you to our partners at Fund for the Arts, LexArts, and MDC for co-hosting these events.
