Save the Grand Theatre, Inc.

The Grand Theatre in Frankfort, KY seeks a grant from South Arts to support artist fees for a residency with the artists of Ranky Tanky (RT).  RT will offer a public evening show at the Grand for 400 and a school matinee at the Grand for 300 students. Both shows will inform our audience of the soulful songs of the Gullah culture brought to life by this band of native South Carolinians who mix the low country traditions with large doses of jazz, gospel, funk, and R&B.
