The Grand Theatre in Frankfort, KY seeks a grant from South Arts to support artist fees for a residency with Zydeco legend Terrance Simien. Simien will offer a public evening show at the Grand for 400 and a school matinee at the Grand for 300 students. Both shows will inform our audience of Zydeco as an indigenous form of American roots music.
