From September to November 2021, Nashville's Inversion Vocal Ensemble (with collaborating artists Dave Ragland, Shabaz Ujima, Shawn Whitsell, and Diaspora Orchestra) will participate in a multi-month residency with OZ Arts Nashville featuring rehearsals and community engagement activities that engage Nashville's vibrant African-American community and culminates in the world premiere of their original work STEAL AWAY, a piece inspired by the tradition of African-American spirituals.
