Opera Birmingham has commissioned a new opera about the lives of Helen Keller and Anne Sullivan (premiering January 2024) and will be expanding accessibility resources for the low-vision/low-hearing audience for this and all future productions; Opera Birmingham staff will be trained to use and implement these resources beginning in Spring 2023.
