Author Biography
Coulter Fussell was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia. As the daughter of a museum curator and a highly skilled quilter, Coulter's career path as an artist is merely a continuing natural progression of the same thing she's always done since a small child. Even though Coulter went to college, she gives full, complete, and total credit to her parents and her waitressing jobs for teaching her everything she needed to know about art, hard work, technical skill, commerce and socializing to be able to build businesses based around art. The challenge of creating a successful creative rural economy has become an art piece in itself. She sees the small, forgotten southern town as the new frontier and she does not separate her stores from her quilts. They are all one in the same....creations with an honest and bare-bones look at what it takes to take thrown away scraps and build something beautiful, however gritty.
