Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans

The CAC is honored to present the Louisiana premiere of the Trisha Brown Dance Company in Trisha Brown: In Plain Site, a selection of works drawn from Brown’s earliest task-based works to her more recent lush and musical dances. These works, created between the 1960’s and 2000’s, will animate the CAC’s Gallery, Black Box Theater, and Warehouse spaces with the audience following the nine dancers

throughout the building. Enlivening the CAC’s spaces with Brown’s work is particularly timely for the Center and the New Orleans dance community, as the visionary choreographer and performer passed away in March of this year. This 75 minute performance by 8 Company dancers will serve as a retrospective of Trisha Brown's work.
