Native American potter Senora Lynch will conduct a 3-day residency consisting of 9 camp classes and 3 public workshops for children and their families, sharing both her pottery techniques and the stories and traditions of the Haliwa-Saponi tribe. Project scholar Dr. Brooke Bauer of USC-Lancaster's Native American Studies Center, the first Catawba Indian to earn a PhD, will lead presentations prior to workshops exploring the connections between traditional arts and the formation of identity.
