The Buckman Arts Center at St. Mary's School, in partnership with the Grand Theatre in Frankfurt, Kentucky, seeks a grant from South Arts to support artist fees for a residency with Latin legend Tito Puente, Jr. and Salsa diva Melina Almodovar. The two artists will offer a pre-concert master class for up to 80 Memphis social dancers, an evening concert at Buckman for 300 and a lecture/demonstration for 800 English as a Second Language Shelby County students at South Park Elementary School.
