Naomi Shihab Nye will present a poetry reading at the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art at Auburn University. Additionally she will introduce the winner of the Southern Humanities Review's Jake Adam York Witness Prize, a national poetry contest for which Nye is the judge, and engage a multi-generational group of poetry students in a focused conversation about the tradition of poetry of witness. She will remain for a reception. Her reading is part of a monthly poetry series at JCSM.
