On October 6, 2016, 19th Poet Laureate of the United States, Natasha Trethewey will provide a public reading in JCSM's Grand Gallery, announce the winner of the Southern Humanities Review's Witness Prize, an annual national poetry competition, and provide a structured conversation with advanced creative writing students from Auburn University and members of Auburn University's Osher Lifelong Learners' Institute.
