The Department of Fine Arts at Alcorn State University will present the Thirty-ninth Annual Alcorn State University Jazz Festival on April 13, 2019 featuring performances, workshops and discussions by jazz icon Ellis Marsalis and performances by professional and student ensembles from around the country at the Vicksburg Convention Center in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Special effort was made to engage one of the very finest artists residing in the South as well as to engage underserved audiences.
