On Thursday, April 27, 2017, 7:00 p.m., Gloria Sitz, "Alabama Annie" opened for Jontavious Willis for the performance at The Mane Room on North Pine Street in Florence, Alabama. After Sitz, folklorist, archivist, and radio show host, Kevin Nutt provided opening words of the blues tradition in Alabama. Jontavious performed a variety of styles and ended the show just singing with Alabama musicians Jock Webb, Sr. on harmonica and Maxwell D. Russell on guitar.
