Ana Maria Alvarez, Artistic Director of CONTRA-TIEMPO, will visit Birmingham for two days of planning sessions and attend nine meetings to discuss community needs for the company's residency at the 2017 Alabama Dance Festival in January focusing on the company's newest work, "Agua Furiosa," that explores the themes of race, exile, injustice, water, drought and upheaval.
