The Power of Place: Artist Residency at the Civil Rights Memorial Center (CRMC) aims to connect and showcase BIPOC artists from across the Great Migration path, fostering collaboration to create artworks that reflect and preserve cultural and historical narratives about the movement for racial justice, culminating in the "Art is Activism Block Party” that includes displays of the artists’ work and serves as a backdrop for dialogue, reflection, civic engagement, and activism.
