About the Artist

The Yvonnick Prene Quartet includes Jeb Patton on piano, Clovis Nicolas on bass, David Hawkins on drums and Yvonnick Prene on the Chromatic Harmonica. The band is made up of easy going, professional musicians with whom I’ve had the pleasure and privilege of performing with individually over the years. 

David Hawkins, is a young drummer based in New York City, originally from Omaha, Nebraska. His broad musical palette has led him to tour, record and perform with a variety of different artists across many genres of music. As a jazz musician, such artists include Johnny O’Neal, Phillip Harper, Bobby Watson, Adam Larson, and Dana Murray & Manifesto among others.” We have been performing together since October 2022.

Clovis Nicolas, has a lot of experience performing and touring around the world notably with Brad Melhdau, Gregory Hutchinson, Grant Stewart, Bruce Harris and many others. Clovis has toured throughout France along with his band during the summer of 2022. Clovis and I have played together regularly in various bands since 2009. He most recently recorded on my latest album “LISTEN!” on Sunnyside Records released in January 2023. 

Jeb Patton, is the veteran of the band! Since 1998, Jeb Patton has toured throughout the United States and abroad as the pianist with the Heath Brothers and the Jimmy Heath Quartet. Jeb is one of the most in demand pianists in the NYC area. He most recently participated in a mini fall tour with the Charles McPherson Quartet from September through November 2022. Jeb and Prene have been performing regular concerts for over one year whether it be a duo, trio, quartet and/or quintet setting. 

Yvonnick Prene, based in Secaucus, NJ, has been performing in the New York City area over the last 15 years. Yvonnick  has fast become one of the rising stars in the harmonica world. He has recorded six albums under his name with top jazz artists like Peter Bernstein, Jeremy Pelt, Kevin Hays and Dayna Stephens along with touring the USA, Europe and Africa. Yvonnick also serves as an ambassador.
