About the Artist
Liz Whitted-Dawson is a jazz singer-songwriter who has performed throughout California from the San Francisco Bay Area to Los Angeles during the last 13 years. A member of the World Stage Performance Gallery Artist Collective in historic Leimert Park, Los Angeles, Liz was named the 2019 Best Female Jazz Artist nominee at the Los Angeles Black Music and Film Awards (Black Music Association-BMA). Steeped in gospel influence, Liz is known for interpreting standards in a soulful, eccentric style. She’s collaborated with the late Earl R. Johnson, Jr. Big Juicy, former music director for Gerald Albright and now Kevin Toney, founding member of the Blackbyrds.
