About the Artist

Dirk Quinn is the guitarist, leader and primary composer of a high energy Psychedelic Fusion band based out of Philadelphia that travels extensively throughout the US and Canada. Utilizing over a decade of steady performing and touring, Quinn has developed a unique and progressive style. An aesthetic that draws on infectious melodies and rhythmic interplay which intrigues the listener by challenging their routine notions of form, time and syntax.  The band draws on the keystone of the Jazz tradition, individual and group improvisation, but gives it an electric modern edge that is anything but staid.  With South Arts’ Jazz Rd Grant the ensemble is recognized for its growth in dynamics and ability to elevate the ambiance of any venue be it a quiet restaurant or a raucous festival!
